Provide expert clinical guidance to those involved in specialty and primary care throughout the network. Actively facilitate the coordination of primary, secondary and tertiary care systems to ensure access to care for all veterans. Coordinate strategic planning efforts for health care delivery with effective business planning to assure maximum healthcare quality and efficiency. Maintain open communication with all stakeholders on clinical issues to promote understanding and buy-in of network improvement efforts. Maintain working knowledge of all aspects of network plans and programs to effectively represent the Network Director. Works with the VISN Medical Centers to ensure that facility programs reflect the mission and priorities of the VISN and the VHA. Promotes an effective mix, coordination, and support of VISN clinical programs by evaluating current and potential patient population needs, clinical workload and resources, special program mandates and cost/benefit analyses. Makes recommendations to the VISN Director ensuring implementation of approved clinical proposals. Accomplishes VISN clinical program goals consistent with available resources and participate in the allocation of facility resources and modification of programs to best meet needs of the veteran population. Promotes compliance with VA regulations and professional standards pertaining to outside professional activities and ethical conduct. Ensures continuous improvement relative to the quality, value and access of health care services. Promotes effective communication and working relationships between the VISN facilities and its affiliates. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Physical requirements outlined below. Physician Staff Requirements b. Leadership/Manager Positions. Physician leadership and manager positions may be Chief of Staff, Directors (i.e. medical center and Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN); selected positions in Central Office; Distinguished Physicians; and Service Chiefs or Service Line Managers. Positions are approved for these levels based on the scope and complexity of the assignment and the level of responsibility. Preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
