-Performs special studies and projects for the Network.-Undertakes studies of highly confidential and complex nature. -These studies can involve any aspect of communication operations and necessitate sensitive contacts with key officials in and outside VA. -Tracks correspondence emanating from the Executive Secretary and the White House, as well as special assignments to ensure adherence to deadlines. -The incumbent serves as the primary speech writer in the Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 (VISN7), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). -Ensures all information contained in the drafts is current and accurate and reflects the Network Director's thinking and personal philosophy and preferences.- Determines and maintains photographic quality control for VA Internet home page.-Collects and monitors imagery from VISN7 Medical Centers that illustrate a wide range of special VA national events and observances such as Veterans Day, National Salute to Veterans, Welcome Home Warrior and VA Homeless programs, facility events and other national public relations efforts. Maintains liaison with wide range of government and veteran's organizations and corporate internal communicators to support this effort. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-13 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Experience in serving as an expert primary speech writer for Executive Level leadership, mastery of public relations issues, principles, theories and techniques, and preparing special reports accurately and effectively, Determining and maintaining photographic quality control on agency websites. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
