Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5, For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7, For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9, For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Experience classifying new and proposed changes to wage grade and general schedule positions in the federal government. Providing the full range of advisory services to management and employees on position management and classification issues, assessing and advising management on the impact of proposed reorganizations and recommending alternative position management structures; applying considerable judgment and a thorough understanding of classification principles and concepts to interpret and adapt classification standards and other sources of information to determine the correct pay category, occupational series, title, and grade level; preparing written evaluation reports; explaining findings to management and employees in controversial situations impacting multiple organizations, conducting desk audits, and preparing advisory opinion on the classification of positions. Education Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at the GS-9 and the GS-11 grade levels. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education as listed above. For the GS-9 and GS-11 level there is an educational substitution for these grade levels. Education:

GS-9:
You must have completed a Master's (or equivalent) graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher level education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. GS-11:
You must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related. GS-12:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
