Financial Reporting Manager

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Financial Reporting Manger provides accounting leadership and responsible for US and IFRS GAAP reporting.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
The Financial Reporting Manager should be able to accomplish the following three goals as observed by the Corporate Controller: To manage the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines; To research and document accounting issues; and To calculate and account for complex transactions.
The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Manage timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
Prepare accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting including footnotes and analysis of financial results. Quarterly requirement is for Canadian parent Amaya Gaming Group Inc. trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "AYA". The annual requirement is for the Canadian parent and a consolidated US standalone report audited by D&T.
Lead monthly review meetings and review account reconciliations provided by staff as necessary to understand the financial results
Prepare calculations and journal entries for stock option expense, capital lease revenue, deferred income tax, conversion from US GAAP to IFRS, eliminations, and other accounts as assigned
Manage revenue recognition process
Manage intercompany transaction and reconciliation process with subsidiary in Mexico and parent in Canada
Provide direction in the development of a company-wide best practice method of building burdened standard costs
Manage income tax filing process including preparation and or review of schedules for external preparer
Skills / Requirements:
BS in accounting
CPA current license
Minimum of 10 years accounting and financial reporting experience
Supply chain and manufacturing environment experience
Software industry experience and revenue recognition background
Experience with mid-size companies with proven ability to implement and optimize business processes.
Advanced Excel skills in developing management information packages
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Experience with Macola (Exact) is a plus

MANAGERIAL DUTIES:
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, and procedures related to primary objectives; confer with organization officials and staff members as necessary.
Manage projects, process, and individuals in accounting and other departments

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
