The Training Specialist drives operational excellence by assisting the Training Manager with all aspects of learning and development for non-exempt and exempt level employees.
The ideal candidate has experience developing and facilitating courses and programs for blended training methods (e-learning, micro-learning, video, virtual, face to face facilitation, etc.
).
They have experience leading training projects from inception, creating engaging, interactive experiences for learners using roleplay, case studies, game-based assessments, etc.

Responsibilities:
Assesses training needs to identify knowledge/skill gaps by gathering information from employees, managers, and other stakeholders using data, surveys, interviews, and consultation.
Determines root causes of performance issues and recommends training solutions when appropriate.
Creates and prepares training programs, courses, and events including media selection, learning environment preparation, instructor and participant material creation and distribution.
Trains employees in person and on virtual platforms using a variety of engaging instructional techniques.
Handles administrative tasks including but not limited to learning management system course creation and uploads, event creation, participant enrollments and completions, management reporting, generating and synthesizing participant evaluations, responding to employee questions, and booking venues when needed.
Incorporates best practices, and sources new programs and tools within allocated training budget.
Supervision Exercised This position has no direct reports.
Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of instructional design (ADDIE model), authoring tools, and implementation strategies.
Experience with learning management systems and web delivery platforms.
Able to coordinate schedules for multiple training events.
Comfortable using both traditional and modern job training methods and tools.
Ability to build blended learning solutions (e-learning, micro-learning, video, virtual, face to face facilitation) within time, resources, and budget parameters.
Experience with Office 365 collaboration and tools.
Advanced organization and time management skills; detail oriented; able to balance multiple assignments.
Strong, written, verbal, and facilitation skills; ability to build and maintain collaborative internal and external business relationships.
Qualifications:
BA in human resources, education, training and development, instructional design, psychology, business administration and/or the equivalent-on-the job experience.
Previous experience working as a Training Coordinator, Trainer/Facilitator, Instructional Designer, or similar role.
Willing to travel overnight/multi-night when needed.
