Summary:
The position takes responsibility to provide high quality customer service specific to student financial aid.
A person advises students and parents regarding availability of financial aid, the eligibility requirements and the application process.
a person will communicate financial information in a professional and courteous manner, to help students and parents understand the Financial Aid packages available to them.
A person will participate in internal audit to ensure quality of processes in Financial Aid department.

DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Provides students with exceptional customer service at office, via telephone and email.
Assists with financial aid application and packaging processes Creates students financial estimates based on financial aid availabilities.
Responsible to verify and explain financial aid awards and charges associated with the student estimates.
Partners with Admission staff to ensure the student completes the enrollment and financial aid process in a timely manner.
Reviews and interprets applicable principles, federal, and/or state laws and regulations in the course of official duties.
Communicates with third party financial aid servicer and be the campus liaison between them and the students.
Serves as a member of the appeals committee Process quality assurance revie and serves as the record review analyst to ensure compliance with all aplicable laws and regulations Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher A minimum of (3) years of professional experience in financial aid office.
Strong listening, problem analysis and solving skills.
Organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Has stress tolerance and resilience when responding to challenging customers.
Ability to work alone or within a team.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and apply established law, regulations, procedures, precedents, and guidelines.
Ability to keep confidentiality of student/parent financial and personal information.
Ability to work in a fast paced/demanding environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
