Director of Revenue Strategy - The Westin Hotel - Duluth, GA

As a Director of Revenue Strategy, you will:
Will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of strategy relative to achieving set targets and growing market share.
In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the agreed upon strategies are reflected in the front office operations as well as partnering with the Director of Sales for collaboration in long term strategy.
Be the champion of the PMS, CRS, and Extranet systems to that execute strategy both inhouse and outward channels.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings utilizing Concord and Vendor Revenue Systems and Tools.
This includes Concord's vendor tools such as Travelclick BI tools, OTA Insight, Kalibri Labs, and Kriya BI System.
Managing revenue by segment and channel with dynamic initiatives against each will be the cornerstone to consistent goal achievement.
Responsible for demonstrating strong understanding of all CRS, PMS, and Sales systems utilized at the hotel.
Ensure that weekly group and transient pace reports are an active part of the hotel's revenue process with logical and measurable actions applied to respective performance conditions.
Monitor forecast accuracy and implement specific training where needed to achieve less than 5% variance to actual, 3% leading into the next month.
Daily reviews to include a system analysis of segment pickup, market pricing, inventory strategies, and demand pattern changes to occur.
Maintain a strong understanding of trends and analysis in the weekly and monthly STR trends including RPM and Pulse reports where applicable.
Incorporate STR trends into city CBRE analytics to further clarify market trends.
Maintain a weekly transient pace that extends out 60 days and is stored on the company database.
Include the pace report in the weekly strategy meeting for analysis of trends.
Maintain a strong understanding of the local economy and how national changes are affecting travel patterns.
Provide a day by day forecast recommendation, transient and group subtotals, weekly.
This extends to 90 days.
Execute displacement model for large programs, ie:
6 months or longer focused on the most profitable outcome.
Ensure appropriate position with e-Commerce strategy in terms of merchant, retail, opaque or bundled status.
Relationships with market managers should be maintained while working directly with Concord digital marketing partners to understand any SEO, PPC, or position initiatives in place.
Mentor the hotel on effective package creation including partners in the community, value offerings, and seasonal demand generation.
Review the month end reservations reports to identify any challenges to the booking process from the respective call center office.
Monthly, review the agency channel reports to identify successes and opportunities with target accounts identified by the strategy team and focused on with the sales team.
Understand all current promotions to identify which ones would best fit the current hotel strategy objectives.
Be knowledgeable of occupancy, average rate, and REVPAR goals of each hotel including ranking and penetration goals.
Be aware of key strategies that drive performance in each area.
Monitor the RFP Process to ensure timely participation and effective account execution relative to pricing, pattern, and production.
Maintain expert knowledge of PMS systems and reporting for all hotels that relate to revenue reporting to ensure accurate segment tracking, package setup and adjustment tracking.
