The Global Procurement/Sourcing Supply Chain Data Analyst works closely with procurement and operations management and cross-functional teams to drive/lead on, identify, organize & track key operational initiatives/activities, define & implement business processes and develop key operational reports supporting optimization of the commodities, processes and reporting.

The selected individual will be tasked with acquiring data, tracking historical & ongoing spend, supporting various commodity managers (as required) and developing business models to assess various commodity or operational areas.

Individual must be capable of working and communicating effectively with individuals across all levels within the organization; as well as across functions and with external parties.

We are seeking an exceptionally strong candidate to research and develop new/insightful ways of managing supply & demand balances throughout the supply chain.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
:


Develops, o
wns,
leads and/or drives assembly, analysis, and deployment of fact-based, strategic and tactical supply, material, labor, and related organizational supply chain data to streamline local supply & demand planning functions; including
identification and/or analysis of gaps and inefficiencies, inventory levels, spend patterns (past & forecast), savings by commodity/location,
translation of analytic insights into solid fact-based recommendations, and standardization of existing strategic sourcing systems & processes
for the improvement in procedures, processes, and/or practices within the organization.



Develops and/or assists in the development of mathematical models and standardized methodology, tools, and supporting processes/technologies in core analytic areas; including the evaluation of current reporting tools and processes and the appropriate design & development of new/modified functionality, reports, forms, and systems/tools interface in order to implement and streamline reporting needs, reduce redundancy, and establish standardization. Common responsibilities include operations analysis, identifying performance trends, scanning industry trends, reviewing operational analyses, and/or interpreting data.


Develops and/or prepares fact-based, strategic and/or tactical cross functional performance metrics and reporting.


Serves as key business advisor/influencer to the Strategic Sourcing leadership, Plant Leaders, Solutions Management, and/or Sales (if applicable) in the translation of analytic insights into solid recommendations; including, but not limited
to, reducing inventories, reducing total delivered enterprise costs, eliminating waste, increasing cash flow, improving product turn, and decreasing cycle times to market.


Identifies, designs, documents, changes, and/or implements best practices in supply chain analytical processes leveraging existing intellectual capital and developing innovative concepts; including the identification of continuous improvement opportunities and methodologies for addressing/approaching major strategic issues.


Manages project timelines and communicates with team members and other stakeholders to ensure timely development of reports.



Develops strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, manufacturing and fulfillment functions; as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum
Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, Operations Management, Business (emphasis in Supply Chain Management), other quantitative-related discipline


7 or more years' progressive/solid corporate financial planning, procurement, and/or process management experience or advanced education; including business analytics, financial planning/forecasting, and/or business/strategic planning experience;

along with substantive experience with financial analysis and modeling/scenario planning


Strong quantitative analytical skills, business acumen and insight; with the ability to understand and synthesize data from various sources, work around data limitations, and form impactful judgments and insights


Working expertise with Microsoft Office; including a
dvanced leve
l of proficiency and hands-on experience with MS Excel and exceptional data handling skills (i.e., must be able to efficiently and effectively handle/manipulate data from multiple sources).


Business analytics, demand planning/forecasting, and/or business planning experience; with working exposure to market analysis, business/strategic planning, operations, and/or data management.


Understanding of best-in-class planning processes; with the ability to interpret complex data, leverage information for business decision-making, and development/presentation of business solutions.


Ability to indirectly influence cross-organizational and/or cross-functional teams, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or with outside professionals and the ability to build strong relationships (both internal & external).


Excellent communication, business, analytical, and problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills


Effective organization and project management skills/capabilities; with the ability to build strong relationships (both internal and external)

Preferred
Qualifications:


BS in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering


10 or more years of solid corporate supply chain business analytics, forecasting, and/or business planning experience; with practical work experience in Business/Strategic Planning, Operations Research, and/or Industrial Engineering; including

8 or more years solid corporate financial planning, procurement, and/or process management experience; including business analytics, financial planning/forecasting, and/or business/strategic planning experience;

along with substantive experience with financial analysis and modeling/scenario planning


Working knowledge of statistical forecasting & modeling techniques and demand planning applications; including demonstrated advanced proficiency with financial modeling concepts and tools such as those in the Microsoft Office suite and Business Objects.

Working knowledge of and experience with ERP systems
